Product Description
A pleasing vintage silver plated serving dish, raised on three elegant feet and fitted with a domed hinged cover surmounted by a ball finial. The lid is finely engraved with scrolling foliate decoration, and the mount is finished with a decorative beaded rim.
The piece retains its original removable glass liner, cut with a radiating starburst pattern to the base, adding both practicality and visual appeal. Such dishes were traditionally used for serving preserves, sugar, or small delicacies, and remain highly decorative table pieces today.
A charming example of mid-20th century tableware, combining functionality with classic design.
Condition
Presented in good vintage condition overall. The silver plate shows light surface wear consistent with age and use. The glass liner remains sound, with minor age-related wear to the rim, including slight roughness to the edge, but no cracks or significant chips.
