An exceptional limited edition Spode Signature Collection “Rome” Cheese & Fruit Cradle, produced in England in 2002 and numbered 170 of only 750 examplesworldwide.
This striking neoclassical form is decorated in the iconic blue and white Rome pattern, originally introduced by Spode circa 1811. The piece features finely detailed panoramic scenes of classical Roman architecture and landscapes, framed by intricate scrolling borders and dramatic curled handles.
Raised on a pedestal foot, the cradle form was traditionally designed for the presentation of fruit or cheese and today makes an outstanding decorative centrepiece for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
A highly collectible and unusual Spode display piece with strong visual impact.
