Product Description
A beautifully modelled pair of vintage porcelain Long-tailed Tit bird wall plaques, produced by the renowned German maker Karl Ens, dating to approximately the late 1960s to mid 1970s.
Each piece features a delicately sculpted bird perched on a branching stem with foliage, finished in soft, naturalistic tones. The fine hand painted detail captures the distinctive form of the Long tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus), with its rounded body and elegant tail.
Designed as wall-mounted decorative pieces, both plaques have integrated hanging holes to the reverse, allowing for easy display. These are characteristic of Karl Ens mid century production, combining quality craftsmanship with decorative appeal.
Condition
Good vintage condition. No major damage observed.
Light wear and minor marks to the reverse consistent with age and previous mounting.
