Product Description
A decorative French Paris porcelain urn, richly embellished with gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts and decorated in the Sèvres taste. The elegant ovoid bowl is finely painted in purple, turquoise and gilt, supported on a slender porcelain stem and square gilt base, and finished with an ornate pierced ormolu gallery.
Produced for the French luxury decorative market, this urn has strong visual presence and refined detailing. There are visible hairline cracks to the porcelain body, as shown in the photographs. These are stable and do not detract from the overall decorative appeal. The piece may be professionally restored if desired, or enjoyed as a decorative object in its current condition — it is simply too beautiful not to be displayed.
