A striking antique French Rococo Revival double photograph frame, richly cast with elaborate scrolling foliate ornament, cherub figures, and a central classical female mask crest in the Belle Époque taste.
This highly decorative piece features twin portrait apertures with sliding rear glass panels designed to hold cabinet photographs or portrait miniatures. The frame is executed in cast brass/gilt metal with exceptional openwork detail throughout, raised on ornate scrolling feet.
The glazing has recently been professionally replaced with newly cut glass following damage to the original panels, ensuring the piece is ready for display while preserving its antique character.
An exceptional decorative object ideal for collectors of French antiques, Belle Époque interiors, or statement tabletop décor.
Condition:
Presented in good antique condition with age related patina and wear consistent with age. Newly fitted glass panels. Minor surface wear commensurate with use and age.
